Popular with couples, families and groups. Bulgaria is perfect for those who are trying out skiing and snowboarding for the first time. The more experienced can also test their skills on the numerous challenging runs. All of this topped up with picturesque scenery and cosy restaurants and pubs.
Our travel partners operate flights from Dublin to Plondiv on a weekly basis and offer two resorts – Pamporovo and Borovets.
Pamporovo
The sunny resort of Pamporovo is popular with mixed abilities and particularly well suited to beginner skiers. It boasts an excellent ski school with English speaking instructors. Other activities that Pamporovo has to offer areswimming, gym, saunas, bowling, traditional folk nights and a good selection of bars and night clubs. Kids from 5 years upwards are catered for. The resort Altitude is 1600m and the highest lift is 1926m. Total KM of piste is 37 km and the longest run is 6km. There are 10 lifts and 6 chair lifts.
Borovets
Borovets is perfect for beginners looking for great value. With lots of lively bars and discos and bargain priced drinks it is an excellent choice for groups and couples. It is also very family friendly with a ski nursery. Ski kinder garden is from ages 4 till 6 years with 2 hours of ski school a day. Borovets also offers bowling, spa facilities and horse-drawn carriage rides. Village height is 1300 m the highest lift is 2560m. With 58 km of piste, the longest run is 12km. There are 13 lifts and 5 chair lifts.
